Why work for us?

Hannah Evans

HR Apprentice

Hannah joined us in July 2013 after leaving school. She was only looking for an interim summer job and in her own words was "really shy".
After the summer, she was keen to continue her education and started university studies but asked if she could continue working on a part time basis.
"Management were really flexible and let me work two or three days a week and during the holidays".
Despite managing her studies and her part time job, Hannah gained experience in other areas of the factory. During 2017, she learnt various administrative jobs which really helped out line leaders over the Christmas period. With her confidence growing, she realised she "could be more useful", and in September 2019 she gained experience as a Line Leader and Printroom Operative.
After she finished her studies in 2020, she supervised the training of other team members on a one to one basis which really demonstrated how far she had come.
In March 2021, Hannah successfully applied for the role of HR Apprentice.
Hannah says "there is a stigma to working in a factory, and it gets unnecessary bad press but there are so many opportunities. There are many different departments and we need more people who have the drive and desire to learn. Moulton Bulb has given me so many opportunities to try new things".
