If you have a passion for supporting and motivating people, we have an exciting opportunity for a Trainer/Assessor to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the training strategy by the coordination and delivery of both training and assessments across the business to improve employee skills and knowledge.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Deliver engaging training assessments and reassessments for the appropriate job roles
- Undertake new starter inductions
- Assist the departments with training (where necessary) to ensure all individuals within teams have the required skill set for their role and manage refresher training where required
- Ensure training plans are progressed on time to ensure all employees receive appropriate standards of training across the site
- Promote a positive learning environment and encourage engagement among participants
- Communicate with all departments to understand the requirements on the daily and weekly plan in terms of prioritising workload for the week
- Manage training schedules to avoid conflicts and ensure employee availability
- Send pre-training communications and follow-up emails to participants and managers
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to trainees to enhance their understanding and performance
- Gather and analyse feedback from participants and use this to suggest improvements
- Support the L&D Coordinator in ensuring that training materials are up-to-date and align with company goals and industry standards and query any anomalies
- Maintain accurate training records, competences, certifications, and compliance documentation
- Ensure that assessments and re-assessments are completed accurately and on time, ensuring all BRC requirements are covered to the correct version standards
- Carryout competency assessments in line with job roles
- Complete daily agency induction checks consisting of right to work checks and ensure relevant training is completed
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in training and assessment, preferably in the food industry
- Strong attention to detail/ accuracy in data input
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
- Patient and approachable , with a passion for helping others succeed
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
- Ability to work independently and self-manage time effectively
- Train the Trainer qualification would be advantageous but not essential
