What we are looking for
A Hygiene Operative to ensure that the most stringent levels of production and food hygiene are maintained onsite for food production equipment and the overall environment.
The position
- Carrying our scheduled cleaning tasks, using cleaning equipment, chemicals, and sanitisers in accordance with hygiene schedules, ensuring all completed hygiene tasks are accurately recorded
- Deep clean of production areas, handling and dilution of cleaning chemicals
- Dismantling and assembly of factory machinery to ensure an effective hygiene clean has taken place
- Maintain & repair hygiene equipment – foamer units, dosing units, hoses and hose guns
- Report any engineering issues that need attention as part of machinery strip downs
- Work safely in line with Health & Safety and Food Safety cleaning instructions, including responsibility for equipment lock-off, isolation, and release
- Ensure all PPE and safety equipment is used in line with guidance.
- Complete post cleaning administration to ensure the hygiene plan is adhered to and attained.
- Ensure all orders are out loaded for despatch whilst adhering to timescales and company policies, rules and procedures
- Undertake any other reasonable duties within any area or department of the site as may be requested by your manager to ensure the overall smooth running of the business
The perfect candidate should have
- Experience in food industry hygiene operations desirable
- COSHH trained desirable but training can be given
- Able to prioritise work to ensure all essential tasks are completed
- Able to follow instructions, written and verbal
- Attention to detail
