What we are looking for
We are looking for a motivated team player to join our dispatch team. You will be expected to work in a fast paced environment picking, packing, scanning, loading vehicles using a counterbalance forklift truck.
The position
- Arrange transport for each customer order
- Communicate with the Packhouse to confirm product availability
- Pick customer orders safely and accurately, including handling heavy trays
- Use company systems and handheld scanners effectively
- Follow correct stock rotation procedures when assembling customer orders
- Produce pallet labels based on customer sales orders
- Generate all required dispatch documentation
- Scan completed pallets onto the customer's trailer
- Perform safety checks before operating a company forklift, ensuring vehicle checks are completed on the onboard system and reporting any faults
- Load customer orders onto the assigned vehicle
- Complete all customer stock counts as required
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as may be requested by your manager to ensure the overall smooth running of the business
The perfect candidate should have
- Valid counterbalance forklift licence
- Valid ride on pallet truck licence
- Team player but should also be able to work alone without supervision when required
- Ability to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand held device
- Good communication and organisation skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
