Quality Controller

What we are looking for

We’re looking for a Quality Controller to join our quality team to provide support to all areas of the business and help ensure our customers always receive products that meet the highest standards.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy problem-solving, and take pride in doing things right, this could be the role for you.

Flexibility will be required to cover weekends and till 6.30pm when required

‍The Position

• Carrying out quality and label checks to ensure accuracy
• Checking product codes, dates, and promotional labels against our Greenlight Checks system
• Taking reference photos to aid traceability and support legal compliance
• Inspecting both finished products and raw materials to ensure they meet specifications — and explaining those specs to the team when needed
• Communicating clearly with other departments to solve any quality issues quickly
• Supporting the production team in meeting quality requirements
• Helping implement corrective actions to bring products back within spec
• Reporting quality or process issues to Team Leaders/Management and advising on required standards
• Carrying out regular in-process checks
• Ensuring full product traceability throughout the process
• Keeping your workspace clean, tidy, and in line with our “clean as you go” approach

Person Specification

• Previous QC experience in the food industry (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail — you notice the small things that others might miss
• A team player who can also work independently
• Able to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
• Good written and verbal English skills
• Basic computer/handheld device skills
• Patience and calm under pressure
• Flexibility and willingness to support wherever needed
