Job Description
We are looking for hands on process machine operatives to work in our Packhouse.
Main Duties:
- Ensure the smooth, safe running of the production line.
- Ensure all staff working within those areas follow procedures.
- Ensure any visitor entering these areas has followed the correct entry procedure and is suitably dressed.
- Carry out and record start up checks.
- Complete paperwork as required on production control.
- Organise daily the staff in the area in which you are working and are responsible for.
- Ensure all staff working in your area are fully trained in all areas of production and fully aware of health and safety procedures for that area.
- Ensure that the machine runs efficiently so that the orders are produced on time to the correct customer specifications.
- Ensure all machinery/work surfaces and equipment is kept clean in accordance with company cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Identify issues with machinery and report to the engineering department.
Person Specification
- This is a hands on machine operative role.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Communicate with and encourage team members.
- Be physically fit due to the demands of the role.
- Experience is not essential but would be beneficial.
- Must be able to work long hours when on shift.
- Live within a commutable distance of Moulton, Spalding.
- Be able to get to and from work independently.
- Ability to follow procedures and work to deadlines.
- Have a can do attitude.
- Have a good understanding of English literacy and numeracy.
- Be able to adhere to our strict quality and hygiene standards.
