As a business, the Oldershaw Group are members of the Valpak compliance scheme.

We also try and recycle as much as possible. We compost all of our packhouse and prepared factory waste and spread it back onto the land as a sustainable way of fighting onion disease and fertilising the soil.

Where possible we keep waste separate and either enhance the compost with degradable waste or utilise specialist recycling plants.

Our farming operation is part of L.E.A.F, Linking Environment and Farming. This scheme promotes the production of good food with the minimum impact on the environment. In addition to this, the majority of our UK growers and a good number of our overseas growers are also members of the L.E.A.F scheme.
