Moulton Bulb Co. have successfully launched a traditional hangin shallot string in Waitrose, and now are available in Co op. The 500g string of shallots enhances Moulton Bulb's already extensive range of quality alliums.

Unlike other shallot strings available on the high street, the Waitrose string, is manufactured in the UK by Moulton Bulb Co. It is the intention to use UK grown shallots also for the majority of the year, which is also a point of difference from other strings available.

"UK Shallots are of exceptionally good quality. They are very strong in flavour, firm and dry in texture. To eat, I would choose French Shallots which are sweeter and milder but for caramelising and roasting whole these are superb."
