Oldershaws of Moulton, being one of the few shallot growers in the UK, is a founder member of UKShallot.com. This group of growers have joined together and joint funded a website to try and raise awareness of UK grown shallots and promote their numerous benefits.
Oldershaws has been an Assured Produce grower for many years and has recently gained accreditation with EurepGap as well as being a member of the Soil Association and a member of LEAF.
Following the example set by founder, Gilbert Oldershaw MBE, the company has always been at the forefront of innovation and new technology. Oldershaws was the first commercial farm in the UK to top, windrow, harvest and cure green onions in the way that is now recognised as the norm.

The late Gilbert Oldershaw MBE began farming in South Lincolnshire in 1946 with his brother, Henry. The jointly owned company of H. & G. Oldershaw Ltd. was split up in 1983 and Oldershaws of Moulton Ltd. was created by Gilbert with his son, Robert and nephew, John Grimwood. In 2001, Gilbert’s grandson, another Robert, joined the business so the Company’s family status looks to continue. Sara Oldershaw is the latest member of the family to join the business, working alongside the Chairman and gaining valuable experience on the farm. 
Oldershaws grows around 150 hectares of onions and shallots for Moulton Bulb and Goldwood (Moulton) along with 80 hectares of processing and packing potatoes, some of which are supplied to Goldwood Holbeach. Carrots and cauliflower are also grown for the packing and processing markets along with traditional Lincolnshire crops of winter wheat, peas and sugar beet. Over 25 hectares have now been converted to organic production.
